Proenza Schouler Shoes Resort 2010

I don't often post about shoes. I do love shoes but I think they have to be something pretty special to catch my attention amongst the many different shoes in the world. Today I just couldn't help myself. I spotted the most amazing Proenza Schouler Shoes in the Resort 2010 collection. The bad news is that they are a bit (well alot actually) out of my price range. But the good news is that I have got until spring 2010 to save up. I am as we speak making myself a Proenza Shouler shoe money box. I also would have great difficulty deciding between them, but I suppose I have a while to make up my mind.At the moment, I think the blue flat sandals are possibly in the lead or maybe the yellow ones. Shoes Winter 2010 | Christian Dior

The collection of shoes of John Galliano for Christian Dior Fall Winter 2009 2010 is an explotion of colors.

The main feature of this collection is the peculiar curved heel with that brocade inspired metal work and the double platform.

Catherine Malandrino Shoes
In fresh fuchsia velvet that’s rich and cheeky-chic, with an ambitious arch built on space and clarity and steel, these Catherine Malandrino shoes are boss, these Catherine Malandrino shoes are a metaphor for how I’d like my career of fluffy fashion journalism genius to play out: In a steady, hard rise that reeks brains and luxury and–S-E-X.
Dada Code M MP3 Player Shoes
You can get refrigerators with TVs in them these days, so perhaps Dada's new Code M mp3-playing basketball shoes—the first in their Wireless Footwear System—aren't tooridiculous. They can broadcast your music to your wireless headphones if you want to keep your music to yourself, or play your music over the built-in speakers in the shoes if you want others to hear them.
Dada's site doesn't say how good the shoe sound will be (presumably stereo) or how large the memory will be (only that the shoe will store up to 100 songs), and there's no indication of release date, but the SRP is $199.99. We emailed in to ask about getting a test unit for review, we'll let you know if Code M is for real or vaporware.
Shoe Tax
Italian and Spanish footwear manufacturers are gearing up to support the continuance of high tariffs on cheap Chinese shoes, which were put into place to help the European manufacturers protect against an influx of imported goods. Specifically, they were a response to a surge in the import of Chinese footwear and leather goods, which had a negative effect on the sale of Italian, French, Polish and Spanish footwear. Many retailers and most EU member states, though, oppose the measures (put into place in 1996), which comprise a 16.5% duty on Chinese shoes and a 10% tariff on Vietnamese.
The tariffs were extended in October of last year by Lord Mandelson, the European Trade Commissioner at the time; the extension runs through this October, and further extension depends on the state of the market. On October 22, the Commission must decide whether or not to maintain the tariffs. If the Commission decides not to maintain them, the tariffs will be automatically lifted in January. Maintaining the tariffs will have a negative impact on trade relations between Asia and Europe, something that could affect the World Trade Organization as it attempts to garner support for the Doha Round of trade negotiations.

The Chuck Taylor series of Converse has always been a popular pair of sneaker for all rockers worldwide. And with the onset of 2010, they once again pay tribute to another world class rocking band in the name of Grateful Dead.

New White Color for CONS CTS Mid
The last colorway that we may have all seen this CONS CTS Mid was in black waxed canvas. Now this new white colorway seems to be the yin to the yang. The upper section is all in white giving way for the red and navy blue stripes to be noticed along the midsoles. There are red threads that act as border on the tongue’s top serving as additional accent along with some metal eyelets in silver in midfoot.
Bodega x Converse
One of the most popular new silhouettes from Converse, the Poorman Weapon, collaborated with Bodega to produce a sneaker that can handle extreme temperatures experienced in most of the countries worldwide. I would not be surprised to know that every sneaker head reader of this post has a pair of two of Converse’s Chuck Taylor. It’s been staple footwear since the first time that I got aware of shoe fashion and until this day. The good thing with this Converse silhouette is that it never fails to bring amazement to its prospect buyers and for sure, you will like its new sneaker. Another wearable shoe for the Converse Chuck Taylor is not in canvas but in leather material with moccasin strands. Have a glance with the picture. Just like the (Product) RED “Thriller” shoe, this is quite experimental with its overall look but very captivating. This Moccasin version will give you a break of the classic Chuck with its black leather uppers, classic vulcanized sole and moccasin strands that hang perfectly from the collar. Though it has no definite release date yet, this one is a must-see and must-have type of a sneaker.Offspring x CONVERSE
Now, I noticed that I am almost writing for collaborations. Maybe I have a thing with them as I really appreciate teaming up efforts because it is like the saying that two heads are better than one. Take the Parachute Pack as an example from the great minds of CONVERSE and Offspring. You will like to flaunt these shoes on the streets as these will surely gather much attention. Offspring by the way is a famous United Kingdom footwear retailer that just shared ideas with VANS for its New Era limited edition. As always, Chuck Taylor will take again the experiment as it was chosen as the silhouette. The All Star fans on and off court should be very excited about this new version that can be bought at Offspring. The sneakers feature very durable parachute nylon with color designs highlighting the black and silver upper. This may look like a retro but the twist can be seen on the contrasting yellow trimming for the black hi-top and a combination of red and navy for the futuristic silver low-top.Robert Indiana on Chuck Taylor
Robert Indiana, an American pop artist recently collaborated with Converse on a some Chuck Taylor designs for both low and Hi. He applied his very popular LOVE art which was also used widely on a specific Christmas card that was featured for the Museum of Modern Art in 1964. You can check his latest designs with the Chuck Taylor as his base. Truly elegant and timeless. It is on white upper canvas mixed with a sole that is vulcanized of the same white color. But the work of the artist is seen apparent all throughout the heel and side sections of the shoes. This creates a distinct look for the shoes. Letters of L-O-V-E are scattered all throughout the sections in red. It has royal blue hints that are also made visible in between the letters. It has silver laceholders, inner lining in red and laces that are in white. It has black linings as well all throughout the entire shoes.
Missoni And Converse Collaboration
Have you heard of the Italian brand called Missoni? Well it has decided to collaborate with Converse to release and introduce its first ever collaboration sneaker that will be out by middle of April. After the release of the very interesting Chuck Taylor, both sides will release another Chuck Taylor pair this fall and winter season. This Chuck Taylor has interesting attributes that you would find cool. It has a similar zig zag pattern that can be found all throughout its uppers. Then it has a darker color scheme that the first pair mentioned. With its details, it would seem that black and off-white are paired up in the zig zag effect of the shoes.
Converse Chuck Taylor Multi Zip Hi – Chocolate
Just when you think you’ve seen everything possible on a Chuck Taylor model, Converse goes back to the drawing board and ensures that the iconic style keeps evolving. This latest Chuck Taylor Mult Zip Hi features some pretty interesting style touches to ensure that they stand out from the rest. The upper is constructed from premium brown leather that is splattered with spots of black paint. As if that wasn’t enough, the shoe also features four horizontal zippers around the heel area that, when unzipped, reveal a bright orange underlay. These Chuck’s also sport some metallic copper eyelet holes, as well as an off-white midsole and toe cap. You can pick up a pair of these ultra-stylish All-Stars now at Sneakerhead.
